Sedimented Forms
Sun-warmed sand revealed a scattering of broken pottery fragments in shades of ochre and rust after the recent storm. Though weathered smooth, many pieces still held faint repeating patterns – ghosts of designs barely visible to the touch. This dispersal didn’t diminish their form so much as relocate it, highlighting how order involves constant rearrangement rather than pristine preservation; living structures are built from what remains. Even the smallest sliver retained a subtle distinctiveness against the larger field, and in quiet contemplation, one could almost reconstruct a whole from these dispersed elements.
