Ochre Veils
Beneath layers of ochre and cerulean, the brush traced stylized eyes arranged in precise symmetry. A metallic tang accompanied each revealed detail: pupils gazing both inward and outward, their clouded surfaces splintering reflected light into fractured mosaics. Though variations existed—a slight tilt here, a deeper shade there—the arrangement evoked an ordered sequence that resisted any singular viewpoint. Like cool grit settling over time, these inscriptions seemed less constructed than exposed, the patterns hinting at something slowly coming to be under the surface of the ceramic.
