Lip Lines
A network of fine cracks appeared around the mouth, echoing the darkening grain of aged wood. Each breath subtly shifted these lines—inhaling widened them, exhaling softened their edges like tracing contours in damp earth. The sensation recalled sediment layers exposed on weathered stone, and everything tasted faintly sharp and metallic with each cycle of air.
