Prism in Silt
Rough silt clings to fingertips as debris is brushed away from a buried glass prism, revealing its sharp facets against the dark soil. Sunlight strikes the edges, splintering into jagged lines that distort the surrounding garden through heavy refraction. These shifting patterns suggest that what we hold as solid is merely an assembly of scattered light, caught in a brief and restless alignment. To grasp one's own form is to collect these bright, temporary splinters before they drift apart once more.
