Resonant Veils
Pressing harder against the cool steel, a faint scent of ozone rose with each attempt to discern detail; individual strands began to blur at their edges. The resin surrounding them didn’t contain so much as amplify—light now pulsed in sync with minute shifts in external pressure, its tempo altering with even subtle changes in weight. Every impression left a trace, but these overlapped into complex interference patterns instead of discrete records, an echo not of past moments but possibilities coalescing within the material. The blackened metal offered no stable point for understanding what it truly reflected—only spiraling light and potential.
