Copper Veils
Empty now, the button box held ghost-shapes within its polished grain, a palimpsest of former collections. A stylist’s brushes traced light across skin, layering copper dust and softening edges until deliberate form yielded to subtle sheen. This work didn't define objects so much as reveal how repeated action reshaped them—how touch bled into the wood itself over time, creating delicate thresholds rather than firm divisions. Beneath the surface, a quiet vastness emerged from what had been removed, reflecting the attention it received.
