Golden Effusion
Golden fluid spread across the slate stone, pooling and reflecting the dim light with an almost internal glow; a sharp ozone tang hung in the air. Variations in its density created darker patches that echoed the subtle fissures of the rock, as if imprinted by some unseen pressure. The accumulating substance wasn’t merely weight but felt like time coalescing—each layer building upon the last, slowly etching a record into the stone. Though still expanding, movement began to slow around larger formations, eventually settling into quiet stillness.
