Residual Patterns
Minute inclusions—quartz flecks, iron specks—aren’t flaws in the ceramic but remnants of past heat, integral to its strength. This internal network demonstrates that what appears solid is actually a responsive exchange with external forces; defining rigid boundaries carries an inherent cost. As Nietzsche observed, such tension within a form isn't decay, but possibility itself. Perhaps embracing instability allows us to perceive generative potential where we once saw only fragility.
